A Ray Array is a film by Sarah Rara, with a soundtrack by Lucky Dragons. Structured like a collection of short stories, the work is composed of 16 video chapters that explore the subject of interference using simple sets, everyday objects, and subtle special effects.


Sarah Rara is a Los Angeles-based artist working with video, film, photography, and performance. She is a contributing member of the band Lucky Dragons. Her work, solo and in collaboration, has been presented at such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art (as part of the 2008 Whitney Biennial), the Centre Georges Pompidou, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, London's ICA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, MOCA Los Angeles, and the Smithsonian's Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, among others. She received a Masters in Fine Art from the University of Southern California in 2011. Active since 2000 and based primarily in Los Angeles, Lucky Dragons means any recorded or performed or installed or packaged or shared or suggested or imagined pieces made by Sarah Rara, Luke Fischbeck and/or any sometimes collaborators who claim the name.
